Steve Brown

Chief Executive Officer

Steve became CEO of ACFCU in January, 2014. Prior to joining ACFCU, Steve served in senior leadership roles at Acxiom for 15 years. Before Acxiom, Steve worked in the commercial banking industry for over ten years specializing in commercial lending and the management of credit card portfolios. Although not a native of Benton, his wife, Gasha, and children, Josh & Megan, are all proud Benton high school graduates and he and his wife have lived in Benton for over 25 years. Steve is actively involved in our community with the Benton Chamber of Commerce and the Benton/Bauxite Rotary Club.


Jeanette Nation

Chief Financial Officer

Jeanette joined us in September of 2019 with over 25 years’ experience in the commercial banking industry. She and her husband, Greg, live in Little Rock and have three children. Jeanette is excited to work with the Saline County community and looks forward to getting to know our members!

 

Jamie Bigelow

Vice President of Consumer Lending

Jamie was born and raised in Malvern, AR which is where she began her career in commercial banking in 2000 and spent the next five years serving in roles from teller to branch manager.  After moving to Benton with her husband Brian in 2005 she spent time working in local government emergency services until she was encouraged by friends and family to return to banking.  She then discovered the credit union industry, which she calls “banking with a purpose.” Jamie came on board with ACFCU in October of 2014. She serves on the board of directors for Bryant Rotary, Saline County Safe Haven, and Leadership Saline County.  Jamie enjoys volunteering within Saline County and all things outdoors with her husband and two boys.

Senior Consumer Lending Specialist - Benton Branch

Lauren was born and raised in Northeast Louisiana where her banking career began. While attending college at the University of Louisiana at Monroe she worked as a part time teller that eventually grew into a full-time position.  After college, Lauren and her husband Daniel took on new ventures in traveling and working in new places leading them across three states and finally landing them in Benton, AR in March of 2018. Through this, Lauren has expanded her working career to include over 12 years of experience in all aspects of banking including management, consumer lending and commercial lending. Lauren and her husband enjoy exploring all of the great outdoor adventures that Arkansas has to offer. She looks forward to becoming involved and growing in the Saline County community.


Matt Jones

Mortgage Loan Originator - Benton Branch

Matt was raised in Benton and graduated from Benton High School in 2003, going on to graduate from Ouachita Baptist University in 2007 where he majored in Business Administration. Matt comes to Alcoa from the real estate industry where he was a realtor for 2 years and currently lives in Little Rock with his wife Stefan and their three children. He enjoys spending his free time outdoors hunting, fishing, and watching and playing sports. Matt looks forward to meeting new people, building relationships and helping our members meet their housing and financial needs.


Robert Chumbley

Consumer Lending Specialist - Benton Branch

Robert was born and raised in a small town in SE New Mexico called Artesia and graduated from New Mexico State University in 2004. With over 19 years of credit union experience under his belt, Robert joined the ACFCU team as a Consumer Loan Specialist in December of 2023. Robert is married with three children and enjoys everything outdoors, mostly fishing and tying flies, and plays the drums, guitar, piano and more!


Kelly Freudensprung

Branch Manager - Sheridan Branch

Kelly is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas where he earned a BBS with a major in Marketing & Management and a minor in Sociology. Kelly joined the Alcoa team in March of 2023 as the Senior Consumer Lending Specialist for our new Sheridan branch and brings with him over 40 years of experience in marketing and management. He has a passion for community service and has spent more than 30 years serving Chambers of Commerce, Rotary and Lions Clubs, and Community Leadership programs. Kelly, his wife Amanda, and their daughter Beth are long time Benton residents with Beth graduating from Benton High School in 2024. Some of Kelly’s hobbies include hiking, gardening, woodworking, spending time with family and playing golf. A bad day on the golf course is still a good day, according to Kelly!


Andrea Rose

Director of Compliance & Operations

Human Resource Specialist

Andrea is a graduate of University of Phoenix, majoring in Business Management with a minor in Human Resource Management. She comes to Alcoa with over 13 years of customer service/management experience and has a passion for people. She loves the feeling of community and small town life that Saline County has to offer. She enjoys reading for fun, animals, and any activity that involves water. She lives in Benton with her husband and their two sons.


Jill Johnson

Member Service Representative

Nikki joined the ACFCU team in October of 2021 as a teller, bringing with her 13 years of retail and customer service experience. Nikki is a Benton native and is excited to work more closely with those in her community through ACFCU. Nikki loves traveling, sewing, listening to true crime and spending time with her husband, Tom and son, Kellen.


Stephanie Ingram

Member Services Representative

Stephanie is originally from Batesville, AR but joined her family in Benton in 2004 and has spent the last ten years working at Finley Pharmacy. Stephanie joins the team as a teller with many years of retail and customer service experience under her belt. She has two boys, “three if you count my husband” she says, and they attend First Baptist Church in Benton.  


Glenda Nielsen

Card Services Specialist

Glenda joined ACFCU in December of 2023 as our Card Services Specialist. Glenda was born in Louisiana but moved to Benton in grade school and graduated from Benton High School in 2010. In 2012, Glenda moved to California with her husband who served in the United States Marine Corps. Since moving back to Benton in 2016, Glenda has worked in the financial industry for over three years as a personal banker and mortgage loan assistant. She has a passion for interior design, health and wellness, traveling with her husband and two boys, and spending time with their two dogs.


Drew Thompson

Teller

Drew joined the team in June of 2023 as a Teller. Drew is a lifelong resident of Benton and a graduate of Benton High School. While earning his bachelor’s degree from UALR, Drew worked for Independent Case Management as a Direct Support Professional, with additional experience in retail sales and management. He was also a founding board member of the Royal Theatre’s Young Players. Drew is excited for the opportunity to serve his community and the members of ACFCU.


Shelby Owings

Teller

Shelby joined the team in June of 2023 as a Teller. Born in Sherwood, Shelby moved to Bryant at age eleven. After graduating from Bryant High School in 2019, Shelby attended Henderson State University majoring in Music Education where she became President of the Service Band Sorority, Tau Beta Sigma. After leaving HSU, Shelby worked as a restaurant general manager before beginning her journey here at Alcoa.

Consumer Lending Specialist – Sheridan Branch

Mondi joined the ACFCU team in October of 2021 but has had a relationship with Alcoa since childhood. Her father retired from the Alcoa plant after 34 years, leaving Mondi with memories of going with her mother to pick up her father’s paychecks on Fridays at the first brick and mortar location on Alcoa. Mondi started in the banking industry in 2015 as a loan processer, moving on to become an underwriter in indirect lending before joining the ACFCU team. She loves hunting, camping, and anything outdoors, and is also on the board of directors at the Christian Community Care Clinic in Benton. Most of all, she loves being a MIMI to her two granddaughters and spending time with her family.

Paige has been with ACFCU since July, 2014. Prior to joining ACFCU, Paige worked in the commercial banking industry for over 4 years. Paige and her husband, Jay have lived in Haskell since 2013 with their three children.


Melinda Brown

Senior Accounting Specialist

Melinda has been with ACFCU since March, 2002. Melinda has served our members in many roles during her time here and now focuses on accounts payables and other bookkeeping duties. Prior to joining ACFCU, Melinda worked for many years in her family's business. Melinda and her husband James have lived in Traskwood with their children for over 35 years.

Accounts Payable Specialist

Donna has been with ACFCU since 2011 and has served in many roles during her tenure. She has worked in the banking industry for over 16 years and in retail for 10 years before that. Donna is a Benton native and serves on the board for the Royal Players, a non-profit organization in Saline County.


Board of Directors

Unlike banks, members of the board of directors at your credit union are all volunteers, elected by ACFCU members at our annual meeting. The board of directors serves the membership by setting policies that govern your financial cooperative.
